All Aspects of me...
(well, most of them)
Professional Problem Solver. Financial Translator. Process Nerd.
Hi, I’m Yvette.
I’ve spent more than 15 years working in HOA accounting and community management operations, and somewhere along the way I realized something about myself... I genuinely love figuring out why something isn’t working and finding a better way to do it.
My career has given me experience with everything from monthly financial reporting and bank reconciliations to audit readiness, adjusting journal entries, document requests, management transitions, process development, staff training, and the occasional accounting mystery that requires digging through years of records to figure out what actually happened.
I’ve worked through more than 100 HOA transitions, managed accounting operations involving hundreds of communities, and trained accounting teams and board members. I’ve provided testimony in more than 300 depositions on behalf of HOAs here in Southern Nevada and even testified in a handful of trials during the “foreclosure sale lawsuit frenzy” of 2014/2015. I’ve also spent a great deal of time translating complicated financial information into something people can actually understand.
And that last part matters to me.
I believe every person involved in decision-making or handling a community’s finances should have enough knowledge to look at the financials and understand the overall financial health of that community. Whether I’m reviewing financials with a board member, helping a staff accountant understand why something is showing up on the balance sheet, rebuilding financials during a transition to ensure everything is accounted for, or helping a management company improve a workflow, my goal is always the same:
Understand the problem. Explain it clearly. Fix what needs fixing. Leave things better than I found them. And hopefully, teach someone something along the way that will stick with them as they continue in this industry.
Why I Started All Aspects
After years of working inside management companies, I saw the same challenges appear again and again.
Transitions became chaotic because responsibilities weren’t clearly defined. Accounting teams inherited incomplete or inaccurate records. Processes existed simply because “that’s how we’ve always done it.” Boards received financial reports without always understanding what they were looking at. And incredibly capable people spent hours doing work that could have been simplified with a better system.
I also saw something else... Sometimes the problem doesn’t belong entirely to one department, one company, or one person. Sometimes everyone involved is doing their absolute best with the one piece of the puzzle that falls within their responsibility.
But to truly examine a process, you need to look at all aspects of the situation.
That idea became All Aspects Consulting.
I wanted to create a company that could step into complicated situations without taking sides, look at the entire picture, identify what is actually causing the problem, and help everyone involved move forward with clearer information and better processes.
I also wanted to take on the entire transition process and give it the attention it deserves by making sure documents are accounted for, identifying what should and should not continue being stored, and, with proper approval, purging records that no longer need to follow a community from one storage facility to another.
Most importantly, I want the new management company and the community to have the best possible starting point for their new relationship, while keeping homeowner frustration to an absolute minimum.
What it's like working with me...
I’m curious by nature, probably ask more questions than most people, and have a difficult time accepting “because we’ve always done it that way” as a legitimate explanation.
I like spreadsheets.
I like organized records.
Numbers tend to jump out at me, and I can usually spot pretty quickly when something doesn’t fit.
I get strangely excited when I find the missing piece that finally makes an account reconcile.
And yes, I will absolutely build a new process if I discover people are spending hours doing something that should take twenty minutes. Even if the set up takes longer, the reward moving forward is priceless.
But underneath all of that, I care about people.
I know what it feels like to inherit someone else’s mess, to be overwhelmed by an ineffective process you didn't create, to have an amazing idea for an improvement but inexplicably not given the authority to implement it. And I can only imagine what it must feel like to sit in a board meeting looking at financial statements filled with numbers you’re expected to understand, yet no one has taken the time to show you how to read them.
There is almost always a way to make things clearer and more efficient, reduce the opportunity for error, and make the workload more sustainable for the people actually doing it.
Sometimes you just need someone willing to dig in, ask the right questions, and explain what they find without making anyone feel foolish for asking.
That’s what I hope to bring to every project.
Beyond the Spreadsheet...
I’m also a wife, 21 years and counting, and his support and belief in me and my ability to make a difference in this industry has been a huge catalyst in getting All Aspects started 🩷, a mom of three totally unique and totally amazing young adults and an 11 year old who completed our family and keeps us feeling young and in the know.
I'm a lifelong learner, chronic researcher, and someone who will probably have twelve browser tabs open because one question led to six more.
I love learning how things work, whether that means accounting systems, business operations, human behavior, technology, the meaning behind my favorite song lyrics, why the moon looks so big and close tonight, or something completely unrelated that caught my attention before bed.
For me, it isn’t just about gaining the knowledge, either. I genuinely enjoy teaching other people what I’ve learned and hoping it sparks something in them to want to understand even more. Or just seeing that look on someone’s face when they finally understand the difference between cash and accrual accounting. 👀
That curiosity has shaped the way I work and the way I built All Aspects.
Because the number in front of you is rarely the whole story.
Sometimes you just have to know what questions to ask and where to look.
And because this is All Aspects of me… Go Birds.
